1. Overview
BoltBrief ("we", "our", or "us") provides a website, browser extension, and AI-powered video intelligence features for YouTube (together, the "Service"). By visiting the website, installing the extension, or using any free or paid plan, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and Account Responsibility
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use paid features.
- You are responsible for keeping your account, contact, and billing details accurate and up to date.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs through your device, session, or credentials used to access the Service.
3. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation
BoltBrief offers free and paid plans. Current features, limits, reset periods, and pricing are described in the website, extension, or checkout interface in effect at the time you subscribe.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe.
- Unless the checkout page says otherwise, paid plans renew automatically until cancelled.
- You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel through the extension subscription controls or the Stripe billing portal.
- Plan changes, feature access, usage allowances, and reset timing follow the rules shown in the product and billing flow.
4. Refunds and Mandatory Consumer Rights
Except where required by law, promised at checkout, or agreed in writing by us, fees are generally non-refundable. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your jurisdiction.
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact [email protected] with your account email and billing details so we can investigate.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate the law, infringe rights, harass others, or engage in deceptive or abusive conduct.
- Bypass quotas, plan limits, authentication controls, or technical protections.
- Resell, mirror, scrape, mass-export, or commercialize the Service without authorization.
- Interfere with system stability, security, or availability, including through malicious or abnormal automated traffic.
- Use the Service to train, reconstruct, reverse engineer, or benchmark competing systems, except where the law clearly prevents that restriction.
6. AI Output, Third-Party Platforms, and Content Responsibility
BoltBrief uses platform-managed server-side AI providers to generate summaries, comment insights, and caption-free video analysis. No customer-supplied AI key or separate provider setup is required.
- AI-generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your specific purpose, so you should independently verify important information.
- The Service depends on YouTube, Stripe, Cloudflare, and other third-party services. Changes in their policies, availability, or content may affect the Service.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use, share, or rely on any source content and for complying with relevant platform terms.
7. Intellectual Property and Limited License
The BoltBrief website, software, branding, interface, copy, and related technology remain the property of BoltBrief or its licensors. While you comply with these terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service as intended.
Except where applicable law permits otherwise, you may not copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Service.
8. Availability, Changes, and Suspension
We may update, restrict, suspend, or discontinue features, plans, pricing, minute caps, supported browsers, or other aspects of the Service for maintenance, safety, capacity, legal, or product reasons.
Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to reflect them through the website, extension experience, or checkout flow. Free features, trial eligibility, and usage allowances are not guaranteed forever.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or suitability for your specific needs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or USD $100, except for liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to some or all of the Service if you violate these terms, misuse the Service, create risk, or if we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service at any time, but if you have an active subscription you should complete the cancellation flow to avoid future renewals.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence apply and override that choice.
12. Changes and Contact
We may update these terms from time to time and will revise the "Last updated" date on this page when we do. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the website, extension, or checkout flow. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected], or you can visit our support page.
